Out on the land there are signs of new life. Magnolia buds in the garden. In the woods this morning my first sighting of a clump of snowdrops.
These herald the start of all the spring bulbs to come. They are the flower associated with Imbolc, the Celtic festival which marks this transition here in the northern hemisphere.
This is the time when the ideas we have been incubating in the winter months begins to rise in us. Like the life force of the land, everything is moving from the inside to the outside.
Letting In The Wild Edges, Glennie Kindred
It’s a time when we start the shift from dreaming to action: from browsing for ideas, to making some choices.
Our love of nature and growing food is a place my husband and I ‘meet’ in life. We have a largish garden where we’ll be creating a smallholding this year.
Yesterday we had a conversation about which fruit trees we really want to plant: mine a Victoria plum and his a Comice pear.
A couple of hours later, I popped in to our local Co-op supermarket and there, sitting by the window, was a selection of fruit trees and, wait for it…they had exactly the varieties we had spoken about! AND they were super reasonably priced!!
I love those moments. Thank you universe.🙏🏼
In my work, I’ve put together the details for a small group coaching programme to help you grow something that matters to you this spring – be that a creative project, your work, your health & wellbeing.
This is an opportunity to get powerful coaching AND experience the magic that comes from a group of women rooting for each other. Plus it makes it a more affordable way to access this for yourself.
I’m offering two groups with spaces for 5 women on each. We’ll meet twice a month for two hours on Tuesday mornings.
Interested? Please email me email@example.com and I’ll send you full details.
I hope you’ll join me. I’d love to help you get an abundance of growth under way in your life. 💖💖💖💖💖
In the meantime, I wonder how you’ll mark Imbolc for yourself? Looks like mine will involve tree planting! 🌳🌳
