Your personal roadmap

I saw masses of green bluebell shoots poking up in the woods this morning plus we’ve had a week of fair weather. Spring is definitely coming…isn’t it?!

I recently came across a post along the lines of: false spring – winter – wet spring – winter – mud spring – spring…and then suddenly it’s summer!😂

I can’t help noticing the parallels with this week’s announcement here in the UK for a roadmap out of lockdown. The pull to latch on to some dates mentioned and think it’ll all be over by 21st June. If only!

Regardless of how things unfold, things are changing (again!) from 8th March.

As someone who works with women in transition, one thing I know is that transitions are icky!

Think of a chrysalis coming out of its cocoon. It’s in the darkness. At some point it will eventually burst out into the light. But for now, she doesn’t know what it will be like when she comes out. She’s never been there before!

In the same way we don’t know what it will be like when we come out of this.

Things have felt correspondingly clunky in our house this week. I got fixated on summer holidays. To book or not to book?! Then realised that I was feeling anxious: I found the lifting of the initial lockdown last year more challenging than being in it.

Balancing life as a multi-passionate woman and staying on your own page can be difficult enough at times. Add in a a pandemic AND changing guidelines and yikes, overwhelm central!

I’ve been in an enquiry about how to navigate this upcoming time.

As always, meditation, food planning and daily walks in nature are my soil upon which I grow my day.

I’m also going for,

  • 3 month time frames – that takes care of the summer holiday booking issue!
  • putting my attention on things that feed my soul – my work, our garden and quality time with daughter & dog.💖
