Your own best mentor

A numbers years ago I was gathered in circle (in person!!) with five women friends. We were doing a ceremony to retrospectively honour our menarches: the start of our menstrual bleeds.

As part of the completion, we each made a promise to ourselves.

I came across mine recently and was struck by how timeless it is.

I promise to dance my very own wild dance,

to be my fullest expression as a woman,

to draw strength from and contribute to my sisters,

and to be compassionate with myself and others in all of the above.

Sometimes we really are our own best mentors.😊

What promise could you make to yourself that would serve as a reminder of who you really are and what really matters to you?🤔

It could take the form of a poem or a song or something visual. Anything goes!

Whatever you create, I hope you find ways this weekend to remember how wise you are.

Let’s flourish together!
