Promises

We often make promises to others. It shows that they matter to us, that we care.

How often do you make promises to yourself?😳

I don’t mean declarations of things you think you ‘should’ do!

I mean promises that are rooted in what matters to you.

A few years back I took part in a menarche ceremony. As we (retrospectively) stepped in to our womanhood, we made promises to ourselves and shared with the group.

Here’s mine,

I promise to dance my very own wild dance,

to be my fullest expression as a woman,

to draw strength from and contribute to my sisters,

and to be compassionate with myself and others in all of the above.

It still helps to bring me back to myself when I veer a bit off course!🤪

What might your promise to yourself look like?🤔

Fancy sharing? Simply hit reply and I’ll read it and hold it in my heart for you.

Let’s flourish together!
