One things that currently works in my life, and that I’m proud of, are my close circle of girlfriends.👭
This weekend I’m spending 48 hours with two besties, doing things I’ve not done before in London – swimming in the Ladies pond at Hampstead Heath, visiting an Italian art gallery with outdoor cafe, and going to an open air dance.
I turn 50 in one month’s time and we’ve tagged it my Birthday Eve. Part celebration in itself, part warm up event for the year ahead.
I’m excited about turning 50 – late bloomer and all that!😉💃🏾 – but I’ve noticed anxiety about how to celebrate this milestone.
The parties I should have. Who to celebrate with? Friends who’ve been solid throughout the years? Use it as a chance to reconnect with others I’ve lost touch with? What about those who, well, I don’t feel connected with anymore – lost touch for a reason? And how to acknowledge those who are no longer here on this earthly realm?😳
Never mind the energy of actually organising something myself!
Last weekend I went out for dinner with two local girlfriends and talked about the above. Turns out we all three have milestone birthdays within a month of each other.
So how about a simple, shared event?💡
More ease. More fun!
We’ve found a date and are in process of co-creating something that works for all of us.
One of my Coaching Circle clients celebrated her 50th earlier this year and cherished herself by doing something she’d never done before – organising a meal for loved ones and paying outside caterers to do all the cooking, serving and clearing away.
Yep, treating herself like the queen in her own life.🤩
That’s one of the (many!) things I love about the Coaching Circles. A community of women, consciously honouring what matters to them, making the (personally) meaningful happen, and all in the knowledge that somehow the world flourishes with them. 🌏💗
I’m proud of the women in my life.😊
I’m grateful for those who’ve got my back.
However friendships are for you right now, what’s one (simple) thing you could do this weekend to honour them?🤔
And remember, you’re worth it!
Let’s flourish together!
